Update on the Development of Your Club

It has been several months since our last update.  In that update we indicated that the construction of the building was due to be completed in mid to late September this year and that we would endeavour to complete the Club fitout and re-open the Club as soon as practicable thereafter. Unfortunately, due to weather and some technical issues, the building is now scheduled for completion in mid to late October, just over a month later than previously advised.

With the superstructure of the building now complete, the Club fit out has commenced, and we are a couple  of weeks into that process. We have been fortunate enough to visit the site. Although we will be open for Christmas this year, we will be opening later than originally anticipated.
As a result, the Board has resolved that:

(a) the annual subscription paid by 1 Year members in 2019 will also cover their annual subscriptions in 2020; and

(b) the annual subscription paid by 3 Year members in 2019 will also cover their annual subscriptions in 2020, 2021 and 2022;

(c) the annual subscription paid by 5 Year members in 2019 will also cover their annual subscriptions in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.

This is permitted because members will be paying more than the minimum annual subscription of $2.00 per year under the Registered Clubs Act.  The date which is listed on the membership renewal letters will be automatically adjusted when the letter is redeemed for a membership card.
As previously advised, we intend on having several ‘soft openings’, where we will open the Club for members only. This will give members the chance to look around the new venue, exchange your membership letters for membership cards, and taste some food and beverage on a complimentary basis. We will inform members who have renewed their membership of further details closer to the date. On behalf of the Board, we look forward to greeting you in your new Club.
Yours faithfully
Toni Edmonds, President
